BERLIN CHARTER REVISION COMMISSION
June 2, 2016 – Regular Meeting
** APPROVED MINUTES **
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Paul Argazzi at 7:15pm on Thursday June 2, 2016 in
Caucus Room A of the Berlin Town Hall, 240 Kensington Road, Berlin, CT.
Those in attendance were:
Dennis Kern

Maggie Morelli

Kate Wall, Berlin Town Clerk

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Maggie Morelli made a motion to accept the minutes from the May 26, 2016 Special Meeting as
amended. George Millerd seconded the motion.
Motion was approved 6 – 0.
DISCUSSION ON THE CHARTER
The Commission reviewed all changes discussed in previous meetings.
Dennis Kern made a motion to approve the Charter Revision as drafted and forward said revised Charter
to the Public Hearing. Brad Parsons seconded the motion.
Motion was approved 6 – 0.
Chairman Argazzi stated that Attorney Donofrio, Berlin Town Attorney, will review proposed Charter as
drafted.
The Commission discussed a PowerPoint presentation and talking points for the upcoming Public
Hearing.

PREPARATION FOR NEXT MEETING
Chairman Argazzi stated that the next meeting is the Public Hearing to be held on Monday June 6, 2016
at 7:00pm in the Town Council Chambers.
ADJOURNMENT
Dennis Kern made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Maggie Morelli.
Motion was approved 6 – 0 and meeting was adjourned at 8:44 pm.
