The meeting was called to order by Paul Argazzi, Chairman at 7:05pm on Wednesday April 20, 2016 in
the Town Council Chambers of the Berlin Town Hall, 240 Kensington Road, Berlin, CT.
Those in attendance were:

Brad Parsons
Paul Argazzi, Chairman
Kate Wall, Berlin Town Clerk
Dennis Kern was absent.
READING OF THE LEGAL NOTICE
The Legal Notice, as follows, was read by Kate Wall, Berlin Town Clerk.
A public hearing of the Charter Revision Commission will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2016 in the
Town Council Chambers, Berlin Town Hall, 240 Kensington Road, Berlin, CT at 7:00pm for the purpose of
receiving both written and verbal comments of all interested citizens of Berlin regarding the proposed
Charter Revision.

PUBLIC HEARING
Diane Jorsey – 1092 Edgewood Road expressed the need for formation of an Agriculture Commission of
5 members to serve in an advisory role to various boards and commissions.
Len Zielinski – 24 Winesap Road spoke in favor of an Agriculture Commission. He stated hay plots in
town are disappearing and being overregulated.
Andra Millerd – 1231 Orchard Road questioned the goals of the Charter Revision Commission and if the
Commission would be looking at other Town Charters for ideas and guidance.
Christine Berger – 858 Chamberlain Highway spoke in favor of an Agricultural Commission.

Liam Mitchell – 1005 Kensington Road spoke in favor of an Agricultural Commission and increased
support for businesses in town.
ADJOURNMENT
Maggie Morelli made a motion to adjourn at 7:25pm. Motion was seconded by Brad Parsons.
Motion was approved 6 – 0.
