After several minutes discussian on
this rmtter, the Ca~miissian's posAtian
remains unchanged. An establ i shed. ccxr~laint
procedure, which triggers an investigation
into the source of any naxious odor., has
not been used for some time regardi:ng
Stanchem emissians. Consequently, i:he
Cormiissian is unaware of any recenl: verified
complaint s about Stanchem. As best as ca.n be
determined, Stanch~n has ccxr~liedwzth all
State and Federal Air Pollution Standards
and all evidence indicates that Stanchem is
not creating a public health probl~m.

OLD BUSINESS (CONT.): In view of this, it was felt that air
samQling tests would be a waste of time and
money at the present time.
NEW BUSINESS: D~ning Road Landfill/Willaw Brook ~roject -
Discussion again centered on the Willow
Brook Project and the effect that these
drainage alterations would have on the Tawn
of Berlin. Concern was expressed that
the increased rate of water flow out of New
Britain might cause erosion problems
dawnstream, in particular near the D~ning
Road Industrial Landfill which had been
recently closed by the City of New Britain.
