Letter from Morgan Seelye, Director.~Public Works Department, dated March
27, 1973, requesting $500 be transferred from account #602 Highway Labor to account
#603 Overtime due to overtime work being required recently to answer night time
complaints. He further noted the greater ~unount was expended last fall when the
highway crew worked overtime on the West Lane reconstruction.
Motion was made by Mrs. Delaney'; seconded by Mr. McKeon and VOTED to
transfer $500. from account 4602 Highway Labor to account #603
Overtime. ABSENT: Mr. Barbera & Dr. McIntosh
NEW BUSINESS
In continuing their work on the preparation of the 1973-74 budget, the
Board reviewed the Board of Education budget request.
It was VOTED to adjourn the meeting at 10:45 P.M.

CORRESPONDENCE
Copy of a letter to Joseph Scheyd, Chief Assessor, from Richard 'J. Padelli
The GUstave Fischer Company, dated March 21, 1973, listing prices of the cabinet
Mr. Scheyd requested in his 1973-74 budget. The Board added a Map Filing Cabinet
for $300.00 to the Capital request in the'assessors budget for 1973-74.
Letter from Bruno Romegialli, Chief, East Berlin Volunteer Fire Department
Inc., dated March 20, 1973, referring to his~letter dated February 6, 1973 in whic
the East Berlin Fire Department requested.a.supp~ementary budge~ for-a $56,000.~cus
pumper, in the 1973-74 budget as the Fire Board did not see .fit to,request. He add
that East Berlin requested a new pumper last year. but the Fire Board &sked that th
wait in view of the austerity~program. They agreed provided they received top
priority for a new truck. He said this year the Fire Board.agreed the new.truck
should go to the Berlin Fire Department in v~ew of the amoun~ of fires' in their
area and they would be trading in two truckm.. Mr. RomegiaLli sites East Berlin is
some times the first company into fires in the Topps Area and north of Route 72 in
the Berlin Area. He noted they would not be trading in a truck.
OLD BUSINESS
The Board continued to work on the preparation of the 1973-74 budget for
the Budget Hearing on April 24, 1973.
