A regular meeting of the Berlin Zoning Commission was held on
Wednesday October 22 1971
The meeting was called to order at 7 30 P M by Chairman Probst
Commissioners Garlick Diskin Cormier and McCarthy were present Also
present were Emil Carlson Zoning Inspector and Alternates stiano and Pegolo
Item ~ Minutes of the October 13th meeting accepted as read
Item II Secretary reported that the annual report would be in the hands
of the""Board of Finance by October 30 1971
Item III Con~issioners reviewed action of the Zoning Board o£ Appeals
pursuan(' to a public hearing held on October 26 1971
Item IV Chairman Probst to review with the First Selectman statement of
need f--or offxce space to be used by the Zoning Commission at the proposed
new Municipal Complex on Kensington Road and report back at the next regular
meeting
Item V Commissioner McCarthy reported that he met with the Board of
Selectmen to discuss the clean up order for gas stations in the Town
of Berlin issued by the Zoning Inspector and recommended that the gas
station owners appoint a representative to meet with the Zoning Commission
to discuss this order
Stem VI A hearing date of December 8 1971 8 00 P M a t the McGee School
has be'~n set to consider zone change petitions from George Closson and
Dannhetser s Inn and the Berlin Industrial Commission for an amendment to
the Zoning Regulations of the Town of Berlin to allow warehouses and Motor
Freight Terminals in Light Industrial Heavy Industrial and Planned
Industrial Zones
