Meeting called to order at 7:42 p.m. by Chairman Ward.
MINUTES
Motion was made by Mrs. Delaney, seconded by Mr. D. Ward and VOTED to approv9
the minutes of the March 12, 1970 meeting.
BILL
It was moved by Mrs. Delaney, seconded by Mr. Sprague and VOTED to approve !
payment of bill from E. R. Hitchcock Company, Inc. in the amount of $2,157.20
from #201 Board of Finance-Operating for the printing of 1,773 copies of the
Town of Berlin Annual Report.
COMMUNICATIONS
Copy of letter from Mr. Jack Arute to Alfred J. Curnow, Deputy Director of
Public works Department, dated March 10, 1970, granting permission to the Pollutioz
Control Commission of the Town of Berlin to excavate test holes on property owned
by Arute Brothers located on Norton Lane in Berlin.
Letter from Arthur B. Powers, First Selectman, dated March 11, 1970,
enclosing a copy of letter from Eustace Mele of the Central Connecticut Regional
Mental Health Council, Inc. requesting an appropriation in the amount of $392.00
(normal Mental Health Services $196.00; Help-Line program $196.00) in the
1970-1971 budget.
Board members placed this figure in the Health Officer's budget.
Letter from Dr. John Kiniry, Chairman Park and Recreation Commission dated
March 9, 1970, requesting an opinion as to the method of receiving and recording
monies received at the golf course.
Mr. Bentley will contact Dr. Kiniry.
OLD BUSINESS
The Board continued to review budget requests in preparation of the
1970-1971 budget.
It was VOTED to adjourn the meeting at 10:27 p.m.
