Those present were Mr. Paris( presided as chairman in absence of
Dr. Kiniry) Mr. Bergstrom, I,lr. Mierzejewski, Mr. 5ates, Mr. Paradis,
Mr. Maule, Mr. Roe, Mr. Hanse:~ & Mr. Hrubiec.
Concerning the markers suggested by the Men's Club for the gol~'
course. ~ir. Hansen called the U.S.G.A. asking if markers were illegal
and the answer was no. Some courses have ~arkers mad~ o~~ stainless
steel. Mr. Hrubiec suggested that juniper be used, ~$ in total, to be
pl~cted clost to the f~irway from the middle o£ the green. Thru ~(r. Roe,
Dr. Kiniry stated to vote on above on approval of Mr. Graham.
A motion was made by Mr. Yaraais & seconded by Mr. Bergstrom to ol[ce
markers on the golf course wish the Men's Club donating up to ~300.00
for the project. Motion carried.
I(r. Hanson stated golf course busy, weather per:cizting. A question
arose concerning the rangers ~ceing o:"- the course Sunday a.m. ~r. Hanson
s-~ated that a r~nge_," was ~.resent ~.t tho ti:~..e o£ question, but do not
have a full-time ra'_.g~r trois year. ~r. ~ates st~ ted !h-~t thc _i_~st toe
looks bettor, but the flower beds '~ceed weeding. Suggested wood chips
be placed on them.

remaining ~I2,000.00 when work is cor,pleted & acceptable per the
Com'~.ission. Motion carried. The J'ollowi~'g.have to be done before

Er. Roe also stated that after ~ rzin storm there is water & mud in the
middle of the tennis courts. Mr. Mierzejawski st:.ted that %he land-
scaping looked rough. The dedication of the East Berlin comp. lex will be
held in September. Mr. Hrubiec asked if a cedar pole would be alright
i'or the flag pole.
Mr. Roe prese~ted a list o£ articles for a First Aial Kit for the golf
course emergency vehicle. The ~it would cost $I75.OO. it was suggested
that a fi'ow people employed at the course should ta~e a course in first
aid. Mr. hoe o££ered to teach the course.
"i,.r. Roe Stated that all ~u~',~.~r ~rograms going well. All playgrounds
up iu attend::nce. Suggested ~;ext year to close Percival School play-
ground & hire specialists in the music field ate to go around ~_o each
playground. Track, summer bask~tLall, b~sketball clinic, swim~:ing lessons
all excellent. A new pre-school swimming class Zhis year just _~'ir.e.

Mr. Maule asked why all the lights at Hubbard wcr~ not ch~ged to
mercury? Mr. ~oe stated that they were not ch:'ngec just in case the
others went out, there would be some lights or. all the time.
