Seelye, and Chm. of Park and Recreation Comm. J. Dennehy were present at this Board's invitation to discuss the Park and Recreation Budget Request and the Selectman's Budget Request. Berlin Board of Finance Minutes of Meeting Respectfully submitted, Clerk Pro Tem ~ February 17, ]965 After receiving an emergency request frcm the Police Department for s transfer ; in the amount of 5600. to ray for costs for a policeman and matron to travel to! Indiana to bring back an alleged criminal, the Board voted to transfer $600. from #127, Contingency, to ~!'23, Police. It will leter be determined to which item in ~23 the 5600. shall, be allocated. It Js ncged that this money will be reimbursed by State Justice Department later, and will go into ~he General Fund. Members voting were Chairman Doran and Messrs. Brown, Ward and Coe. To amend the resolution passed at a Special Town Meeting held on June 27, 1961 determining the date of the "Annual Budget Meeting". 2. To consider and act upon the transfer of $2,600.00 from #127 Con- tingency to new item, Sanitation #44c, Contracted Service. 3. To consider any other business proper to come before the meeting. The resolution was moved, seconded and unanimously passed. Mr. Saul Sargis presented the following resolution: RESOLVED: That a sum not in excess of $2,600.00 as recommended by the Board of FinanCe be and the same is hereby transferred from #127 Contingency to new item #44c Sanitation Contracted Service. Bomba, Town Clerk LEGAL NOTI CE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING The Legal Voters of the Town of Berlin are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting of the Town of Berlin will be held on Monday, March 15, 1965 at 8:15 P.M., E.S.T. at the Berlin High School, Patterson Way, Berlin, Connecticut, then and there: 1. To authorize the Conservation Commission to make application to the Council on Agriculture and Natural Resources in the amount of $200,000.00, and ~o further authorize the Conservation Commission to apply to the Housing and Home Finance Agency in the amount of $100,000.00 for the purposes of acquiring land in the Hart's Pond Park and Recreational Area for open space purposes. 2.
