1969/04/22296 1. Regular Meeting Berlin Town Planning Commission April 22, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. Members present: Messrs. Castlgllonl, Byrne, and Baccaro. Also, Morgan Seelye, Dtr. of Public Works. 2. l~r. Byrne was appointed Acting Secretary. 3. Agenda Item 1. Preliminary and Final Approval Section VIII 0xyoke Village Meeting House Road - Earl Wtmklund, Developer - see item 5, April 8 Minutes. Mr. Wicklund submitted the following map for approval - "Section VIII Meeting House Road and 0xyoke Drive - Lots 104 and 105 Block 12, and Lots 1 and 2 Block 12B owned and develoDed by Earl Wtcklund, dated December 1968, 1"=40', J. D. Williams, C.E." Note: This Section number will be changed to Section IX so as not to confuse it with Section VIII submitted for approval on 10-22-68. Mr. Seelye reported that themap meets all engineering requlrements and that the performance bond has been received, and recommended thatthe project be approved. Mr. Bsccaro made a motion, seconded by Mr.Byrne granting preliminary approval. So voted. Final approval was granted on motion made by Mr. Byrne and seconded by Mr. Baccaro.  . Agenda ItemII - Preliminary and Final Approval Wlcklund Property Camel's Back cad, Earl Wicklund, Developer - see 1rem 6, April 8 Minutes. Mr. Wicklund presented the following map for approval - "Earl H. Wicklund - Four Rod Road, Camel's Back Road, Berlin, Conn., dsted April 21, 1969, scale 1"=40', G.S. Jarmolinski." Note: Lots to be graded to provide swales along lot lines, minimum grades within ~ots to be 1%. Preliminary approval was grante~ on motion made by Mr. Byrne, seconded by Mr. Baccaro. 5. Agenda Item III - Bond Reduction SubdiviSion Edelson Property - Spruce Brook Road, Sam Edelson, Own, er. In a letter from Morgan Seelye to the Town Counsel dated April 18, a dee~escription of property to be conveyed for highway purposes from Bessie Edelson to the Town of Berlin was sent to Mr. Jeckaway for preparatto: of a warrantee deed from Bessie Edelson to the Town. Fr. Seelye recom~eended that the bond be released at such date when the deed f or the fromtege on the entire Edelson property and the agreement to install bituminous concrete base and curb on the front of the Merwln and Samuel Edelson i~roperties are signed. A motion to this effect was made by Mr. Baccaro, seconded by ~. Byrne and passed. 6. Agenda Item IV ~ Discussion -Subdivision - Road Improvements - gommerce St. Jones Loomis Co., developers. Mr. Nert presented the following map for approval - "Subdivision Map Section 4 showing property to be conveyed to M.J.K. Inc. off Commerce Street, Berlin, Conn. scsle 1"=40' dated April 1969, Kratzek & Jones, C.E.L.S." Mr. Seelye reported that the map ~s o.k. engineering-wise andrecommended that the project be approve. Preliminary approval was granted on motion mede by Mr. Byrne, seconded by Mr. Baccaro. Final approval was granted on motion made by Mr. Byrne, seconded by Mr. Baccaro. 7. Northeast Sewerage Project ~he following map was submitted by the Water and Sewer Commission f or approval by the Planning Commission in sccordancw with State Statute #8-24. ~Northeast Sewerage Project - Northern Interceptor - Ssnitary Sewer Contract No. WS-69-02 dated April 1969, Town of Berlin, Water & Sewer Commission." Approval was granted by motion made by Mr. Byrne and seconded by Mr. Baccsro. 8. Voted to pay the following btll~ on motion made b~ Mr. Baccsrc, seconded by Mr. Byl-ne - New Britain Herald ~2.08; $9.10; amd ~4.42; Miss Gooby ~31.25; and Plimptcn'e for file folders $14.85. . 9. ~e Minutes of the April 8 Meeting were approved on motion made by Mr. Byr~m and seconded by Mr. Baccaro. 10.
