SPECIAL EXEO3RTVE BOARD MEETING
March 26, 1991
Mayor Robert Peters called the meeting to order at 8:57 p.m. in the
McGee Middle School Auditorium. Present were Deputy MayorKaren
McQuade, Deputy MayorAngelo Tiezzi, James D'Errico-Personnel
Director, and Janice Serafino-Executive Secretary.
Budget Rec~uests and/or Transfers
Mayor Peters moved to approve a budget request from James D'Errico,
Personnel Director, in the amount of $6000 to fund the remaining
Hepatitis B vaccinations for fire fighters as mandated by the State,
seconded byDeputyMayor Tiezzi, passed unanimously.
The second budget request robe handled was one suh%itted by the
Personnel Director in the amount of $995.00, tobe appropriated to
account 101-2108-111-249, for the purchase of office equipment for the
Social Service and Recreation Depai-h~nts, necessitated bythe recent
office exchanges. In reviewing the requests, Mayor Peters recu~,nended
denying the purchase of two bulletin boards for the Recreation
Department and the Cc~bination Keyboard for Social Services. The Mayor
thenmoved to approve the reduced amount of $714.00, seconded by Deputy
Mayor Tiezzi, passed unanimously.
Mr. D'Errico presented the following tw~ budget requests to fund the
recently settled Mid Management Association contract:
MayorPetersmoved to approve a transfer inthe amount of $56,223 to
the various departments' Mid Manag~nent accounts to fund salary and
longevity increases to cc~plywith the recently settled contract
between the Town and the MidManag~nent Association, seconded by Deputy
Mayor Tiezzi, passed unanimously.
Mayor Peters moved to approve the transfer of $3000 to account
101-2107-101-121 to fund the over time provision of the Mid Manag~nent
contract for the balance of this fiscal year, seconded byDeputyMayor
McQuade, passed unanimously.
Personnel Matters
James D'Errico informed the Executive Board that he had bee~ ~Mcified
by %he Blue Collar Union representative and by the president Of the
Union that the rmmnbers had voted to accept the Town's o~fer of a 5 1/2%
wage increase, with no other negotiated changes in th6~o~r, act~-fo~"a
one year period.
