*MINUTES OF THE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE*
*DECEMBER 3, 1985*
The Design Review Committee met on Tuesday, December 3, 1985 in
Room 9 of the Berlin Town Hall. Members in attendance were:
Mrs. Ingeborg Lukens, Mrs. Marilyn Brierley, Mr. Hollis Kincaid
Mr. Allen Hall, Mr. Joseph Murphy, Mr John Gemmell, Mr. Emil
Carlson, Mrs. Sally Macfarlane, Chairman and Mrs. Juliet Benjamin,
Secretary. The meeting began at 7:30 P.M.
The Committee met with Mrs. Jacqueline Napier, co-owner of
AL'S AUTO SERVICE, 1173 Mill St., East Berlin (former Warmac Garage
& East Berlin Service), to discuss plans for a sign.
The Committee also met with Mr. Walter Justynski, owner of
AAA FAMILY POOLS, 1348 Wilbur Cross Highway to discuss plans
for two additions, a greenhouse addition at the front and
an office addition at the rear of the building.
Mr. Chuck Meyer, Dir. of Operations for Shopping Centers, Mr. Matt
Bernard, Leasing Representative and Mr. Fred Dalton of Chase
Enterprises appeared before the Committee with revised plans
for landscaping, parking, lighting and the pylon sign for
WEBSTER SQUARE PLAZA, 119-207 Webster Square Road, Berlin.
Mrs. Macfarlane stated that she had had a meeting with Mayor
Ward and that he felt that it would be acceptable to combine
the Design Review Committee with the Beautification Committee
for all future projects and budget requests.
