Town Engineer end M~rgaret Gooby. 2. Mr. Kenneth Schultz appeared and presented, the following msp which was discuss, and given forecsst f~nel approval pending clertfteatlon of this map and other map: relating to the area. Zoning Commission communications - see Item 6 June 4 Minutes, sub-paragraph B - Proposed Apartment Zone - Webster Square. The following preliminary plan was presented and discussed. "Preliminary Plan - Proposed Apartment Zone, Webster Square, Berlin, Conn., Owned and designed by Geo. A. Closson, 129 Mill Street, Berlin, Conn., April 8, 1963, Scale 1"=80', J.D. Williams, C.E." A motion was made by H. Wlnterbottom, seconded by N. Rosso, that s letter be written to the Zoning Commission stating our reasons for not ~ecommendtng this Zone change. 1. The site is contrary to the Town Plan of Development 2. From a casual glance of the map it appears as though there will be 9 dwelling units per acre 3. Even though we do not approve this particular request, we would not look unfsvorsbly on another zoning request that might be written to cover this particulsr area. 4. Liberty Machine - It was reported that Mr. Nappi would like to Increase the size of his building. This wes discussed in general. 5. Christian Lane - nothing new. Have not heard from Dawson. 6. Minutes - Pu~lIc Hearing June 4, 1963. On motion of H. Wtnterbottom,seconded by N. Rosso, these were approved as written. 7. Minutes Regular Meeting June 4, 1963 - approved as written on motion of H. Winterbottom, seconded by N. Rosso. ~ 8. Public Hearing Minutes - Brookvlew Hills - Mr. Curnow reported that Mr.Wicklun is c6nsidering another change to the ssme two lots discussed at the Heerfng. To do this another Public Hearing will have to be scheduled. 9. Minutes - June ~ - item 2 - nothing new. Johnson property on Hart Street. 10. Minutes June ~ - item 3 - nothlng new - Almont Realty property on the Chamberlain Highway. Mr. Curnow reported that this ares is about 1/2 mile from the nearest elementary school. 11. Members present: Hobert Bennerup, Nunzlo Rosso, Henry Winterbottom, George Garritl Aldo Csstiglioni. Also, A1 Curnow, Asst. Town Engineer. 2. Map of property of ~dolph Schultz on Everett Street wss presented f6r final approval. This map shows 1 building lot. Map was returned to Engineering Dept. for further study and report to Planning Commission. 3. Discussion held on maps showing proposed street lines on Christian Lane. Mr. Rosso reported on a conversation with Attorney Dawson, Town Counsel, who agreed that damages equal benefits most.fair. Will check out procedures for notifying property owners. 4. Application for proposed factory building on property owned by George Closson on Woodlawn Road was spproved under Plsnned Industry in accordance with 8:03:01. 5.
