A. Public Grounds Report
- Trees removal update
o Ledge – Distinctive proposes to take down all 9 trees along Cashman
Place that were tagged for removal by Tree Warden Karp for a fee not
to exceed $7,500 (for 3 days of work). Distinctive recommends
grinding the 9 stumps for an additional $3,500 which will prevent
digging into the bank or disrupting established graves.
o Denison – Material along the bank of the brook: Distinctive proposes
to repel workers down the hill of the bank, and as material is cut it will
be wrapped, winched along the brook and chipped on site. Cost will
range from $3,000 - $7,500 depending on how many days on site.
Superintendent Wood will meet with Tree Warden Karp and

Inland/Wetlands liaison Jim Horbal to ensure the proposed work is
appropriate and does not interfere with wetlands restrictions.
o Denison – branches / brush in easement - Distinctive also provided a
quote not to exceed $5,500 to clean up the watershed right-of-way
area. Any work in that location would have to be approved by the
Worthington Fire (Water) District and abutting property owner.
Chairman Colaresi reported that he spoke with the Worthington Fire
District Superintendent who indicated he is willing to clean the area.
Chairman Colaresi suggested that the Cemetery Committee wait and
see what the Worthington Fire District accomplishes before
considering whether to fund further clean-up.
- Fencing
o Dunham – New Britain Fence measured the site to require 155 feet of
black fencing at $23/foot to total $3,565. That will move forward as
the weather permits and be paid out of the Town’s 2020/2021
Cemetery budget funds.
o Ledge – New Britain Fence measured the site to require approximately
212 feet of black fencing at $23/foot to total about $4,876. (The
