**MINUTES OF THE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE**
NOVEMBER 1 , 1983
The Design Review Committee met in Room 9 of the Berlin
Town Hall, 7 :30 P.M. , Tuesday, November 1 , 1983 . Members
in attendance were : Mrs . Marilyn Brierley, Mr. Emil
Carlson, Mrs . Ingeborg Lukens, representing the Beautification
Committee, Mrs . Sally Macfarlane, Chairman and Juliet
Benjamin, Secretary.
The Committee met with Mr. Martin H. Frimberger, Building
Manager, INDUSTRIAL CENTER, 60-74 Woodlawn Rd. , Berlin, Conn.
06037, to discuss plans for a directory sign.
The Committee also met with Mr. Georgge Psillas, Owner, Route
72 Plaza, Mr. Richard Greenalch of Pacesetter Buildings &
Mr. Thomas Psillas, to discuss a DIRECTORY SIGN and also
signs in the plaza for NEW ENGLAND SCHOOL OF HAIRDRESSING, INC .
represented by Mr. Albert Matulis, Owner/Vice Pres . ; CAR TUNES, INC .
represented by Mr. Steven Tishberg, Owner/Treasurer;
OLYMPUS-80 COMPUTERS, represented by Mr. Thomas Psillas, Owner; &
PLAZA LIQUORS, represented by Mr. John Miller, Owner;
The Committee also discussed the new branch of the BERLIN SAVINGS
BANK at Webster Sq. Rd. & Mill St. & is sending Mr. Allan
Borghesi a letter expressing its concern over the unprotected
meters and air conditioning units at the Mill St. side of
the building.
The Committee discussed its budget for the upcoming year.
Mrs. Lukens, representing the Beautification Committee stated
that she is still acquiring information about passing an
ordinance concerned with the repair of pot holes in parking
areas .
