*SEPTEMBER 6, 1983*
The Design Review Committee met on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1983 in
Room 9 of the Berlin Town Hall, at 7 :30 P.M. Members in
attendance were : Mrs . Marilyn Brierley, Mr. Emil Carlson,
Mr. Hollis Kincaid, Mr. Allan Hall, Mrs . Inge Lukens representing
the Beautification Committee, Mrs . Sally Macfarlane, Chairman &
Juliet Benjamin, Secretary.
Appearing before the Committee was Mr. James Lucas of Advance
Design, builder, to discuss plans for an addition to the
Polymer Machinery Corporation.
Also appearing before the Committee was Mr. Joseph Rappoccio of
CONNIE 'S TAILORING & ALTERATION, 15 Webster-Mill Plaza and
Ms. Carol DeLeo & Mr. Roy Demma of DE CARO JEWELERS LTD . , 11
Webster-Mill Plaza & Mr.. Paul Bianca of Bianca Sign Co . , to
discuss plans for signs at their two buildings .
Mr. Lewis Fetterman & Mr. Richard Merrill appeared before the
Committee to discuss plans for a sign at HARD TIMES AUTO BODY,
1077 Farmington Ave . , (back of Deeter' s) .
Mrs. Lauren Grant appeared before the Committee to discuss plans
for the remodeling of the former Poppet ' s Service, Inc . , to house
PORTABLE POWER TOOL REPAIR, INC . , 873 Farmington Ave . , Kens . , Conn.
The Committee also met with Ms. Florence Barrell, Senior Citizen
Director, Town of Berlin, Mr. Steven Selger of Landscape Architect
Design Associates, Mr. Al Nieman, Chairman, Berlin Housing Authority
& Mr. Joseph F. Murphy, Chairman, Commission for Aging to discuss
plans for the renovation of the former Percival School into the
RFRLIN SENIOR CENTER & PERCIVAL HEIGHTS ELDERLY HOUSING.
The next scheduled meeting of the Design Review Committee will
be Tuesday, September 20 , 1983 , Room 9, Berlin Town Hall, 7 :30 P.M.
