The meeting opened at 7:30 p.m. with the three Selectmen present.
Minutes of the meeting of August 20, 1962, were accepted as
written.
kt~. Kerin moved, the Board concurred, allowing use of the
Community Mouse to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church as a
headquarters meeting place for their fund drive, provided the
facilities are left in the same condition in which they are found.
M~. Walte~ Pajor and M~. Fred Yacinski of the Marine Corp
League appeared as requested. (Minutes of the Meeting - Item III-
August 13, 1962)
~tr. Powers explained that the Berlin Playhouse is most anxious
to renew thei~4ease with the League on the Selden School and would
appreciate(a}:~eeting with them to discuss financial arrangements.
Both:Mr, Pajor and Mr. Yacinski felt that their financial.
statUS~woUld improve in the near future since they ~ticipate
additional men joing the League and thei~ iuxilary is very active.
Past bills will be taken care of in the very near future when their
ireasurer is released from the hospital.
~tr. Yacinski was requested to write to the Berlin Playhouse',
copy of letter to be sent to the Selectmen, and set up a meeting
with them with regard to renewing their lease.
~. Cabelus, Building Inspector, will be requested to look
into the wiring of the building to see if it is adequate for lights
which the Playhouse uses.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
