1961/03/071. Regular Meeting Berlin Town Planning Commission, March 7 1961 at 8 P.M. Members present: Robert Bennerup. Henry Winterbottom,and George Garrity. Also, James F. Ktssane, Jr., Town Engineer, and Margaret Gooby. 2. Mr. Bennerup wss appointed Acting Chairman for the Meeting. 3. Mr. Garrity was sppolnted Acting Secretary for the Meeting. 4. On motion of G. Garrity, seconded by R. Bennerup, the Minutes of the Febru~ry 21 Meeting were approved as written. 5. Belle-Vue Acres Feb. 21 Minutes - Item 2 - nothing new 6. Madison Estates -Hsrt Street - Feb. 21 Minutes Item 3 - nothing new. 7. Webster Square Rosd- Squash Pipe - Feb. 21 Minutes-Item 6 - nothing new. 8. Sanltsry Code - Feb. 21 Minutes - Item 7 - nothing new. 9. Inquiry from Mr. Joseph Cieniewicz regarding purchase of Lots 106-110 on Falrvfew Road - Feb. 21 Min. Item 10 - J. Kissane ststed thst he will have s report ready for our next meeting. 10. Regional Discussion Course - Feb. 21 Min - Item 9 - J. Kissane stated that he has registered for the Course. 11. Walter Simcik appeared to discuss subdividing the rear portion of property owned on the Chsmberlatn Highway. The section fronting on the Highway hss already been subdivided - see November 15 Minutes - Item 4- Mr. Simcik presented a sketch of the proposed layout showing a road running east and west, which will be an extension of the road in the accepted portion of the Subdivision, and terminsting in a cul-de-sac at the western end. There will be 8 lots of approximately 600' width each, 4 lots on each side of the road. Mr. Simcik stated thst it would probably be many years before this portion would be developed. The subject of a bond for the road was discussed. If the lsnd is not to be developed in the Immediate futu~re the Town should have assursnce that when it is developed it will not be st the expense of the Town, but at the expense of the developers. It wss suggested that perhaps a notation could be put on the map stating that when the first building permit is applied for it would not be issued until the entire rosd had been constructed. It was the sense of the meeting that we should have the opinion of the Town Counsel in this matter. Jim Kisaane will speak to Mr. Dawson. 12. Jim Kisaane reported that Walter Zuk has sold three lots on Wigwsm Road and has created a subdivision in violation of the Subdivision Regulations. It was the sense of the meeting that s letter be written to Mr. Zuk asking him to come to our March 21 Meeting to discuss this problem with the Commission. 13. Maple Manor -Sectio 7 - Mr. Kissane reported that this problem is now in the hands of the attorneys representing Mr. Schultz and the Town of Berlih. 14. On motion of H. Wtnterbottom, seconded by G. Garrity, Miss Gooby's bill in the amount of $[~1.27 wss spproved for payment form the Expense Account. 15. Simeone Property - Burnham and Farmington Ave. - Mr. Kissane reported thst he had been questioned by the Board of Selectmen on the status of this property.
