The meeting was called to order by Chairman M.Wnuk at 5:35 P.M.
MINUTES
The Minutes of the September 15,2005 meeting were approved by a motion by
Chief Folcik and seconded by Chief Simons. Motion passed unanimously.
VOICE OF THE PUBLIC - None
OLD BUSINESS
BUDGET—Chief Simons passed out copies of the updated budget to all officers
present. It was agreed that the budget was workable.
COMMUNICATIONS - Chief Wnuk stated that each department must submit a list
of radios that they need so that the radios can be purchased.
TRAINING -The Newington Training Tower is still at a standstill as to repairing it
S.N.G.will be putting on a training program in the near future.Hazmat training will be
held at the E.B.F.D. Firehouse on October 24 ,November 7 and November 14, 2005.
ACCOUNTABILITY -It was reported that two departments need new batteries.
Chief Lewandowski will take care of the batteries and he will also get some new name
tags.
DAY TIME RESPONSE - It was reported that the plan is working much better now.
PHYSICALS - Chief Folcik reported that each department has to update their list of
active Firemen.
AIR COMPRESSOR - Chief Wnuk reported that the new compressor will be installed
during the week of October 24,2005_ He stated that the installation would take a couple
of days.

The Board of Fire Chiefs congratulated outgoing Chief Wnuk for the great job he did as
Chairman of the Board of Fire Chiefs. The group presented him with as card of thanks
and a gift certificate to J. Gilberts Restaurant in Glastonbury where he and his wife can
enjoy an evening out together.
MEETING ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Chief Simons and was seconded by Asst. Chief Morton to
adjourn the meeting at 6:45 P.M.
