He said that the Insurance Co. would only allow so much to repair the Firehouse. They have received one bid from Frank Downes Co. for $19,000 but the Insurance Co. will be seeking more prices. I OLD BUSINESS I Chairman Haber reported that the Repeater station on Savage Hill & Ledge Road is 100 percent operational now. In case of a power failure there is 3-4 hours of battery back up to operate the Repeater Station. If the power is off for more than 3-4 hours then a portable generator will have to be set up to keep the repeater functional. A discussion was held on a different type of battery which uses a gell solution and water will never have to be added. Chairman will investigate this a little furthur. The Fire Board and the Four Fire Chiefs met with the Town Council on the Budget. Cuts were made in the Dues and Conference Account and also in the 236 and 248 accounts, approximately $30,000 dollars was cut from the Fire Board Budget. Money for South Kensington's Truck and the new exhaust system was left in the Budget. It was reported that Easco Corperation has presented the Town with a check for $15,000 towards the loss for all the Fire geer and fire equipment damaged at their fire . Bids have been received for all the damaged equipment and the bids now have to go before the town Council for approval. The bid price came to $13,821.44. It was also stated that if the Council approves this figure that possibly the remaining $1,178.56 would be returned to Easco Company as a good will gesture because this came direct from Easco Company and not any insurance company. 0 Fire Board January 23, 1997 page 2 BILLS Sun Valley Calculate Aims Meter - BFD $104.00 CNG Berlin 749.86 " S.
