March 24, 1994
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ron Lindgren at
7 :00P.M. The minutes of the February 24, 1994 meeting were read by
Bob Brown. A motion was made by Vinny Lewandowski and seconded
by Charlie Scheer to accept the February minutes as read. Motion
passed unanimously..

Balances:
Ron read balances from all accounts .
Correspondence:
1) Letter from the Village of Ames, New York, from Mayor Robert
Maring to the Town of Berlin releasing the town of liability
for fire department items donated. Dated March 2, 1994.
2) Planning Commission regular meeting agenda . Dated March 8, 1994.
3) Planning Commission special meeting agenda . Dated March 22, 1994.
4) Letter to all Chairmen of Boards from Gail Erickson, Budget
Hearing at McGee School on Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at 7 : 00 P.M.
Dated March 4, 1994.
5) Letter from Mayor Peters to Chairman Chet Haber about the town
having representation on the Fireboard. Dated March 9, 1994.
6) Letter from Dr. John McIntosh, Chairman of the Finance Board,
to Chet Haber regarding why did East Berlin purchase 26 airpacs
and Kensington only purchased 18 . Dated March 10, 1994.
Officers Input:
Chief Simmons talked about budget cuts . Haz-mat air testing
equipment, what part of the budget was it put in. Wave bidding
of new ladder truck. A motion made by Vinny and seconded by
Bob to wave bidding.
Old Business :
1) Chet stated that East Berlin purchased a 28 ' and 16 ' fiberglass
ladders .
2) Jimmy stated that Ladder 3 and Truck 4 passed their tests .
3) Mark stated that the ladders on Truck 4 are outdated
and will need to be replaced after 1994.

1) Washing machine is up and running.
2) Phone number 828-3535 was not looked into yet.
3) S:N .E.T. to abandon 46 ' high pole at Ledge and Savage Hill for
the towns use. The town may be able to put a backup repeater
on this pole.
