FIRE BOARD MEETING
Dec . 19 , 1991
The meeting was called to order at 7: 13 P.M. by Chairman Ron
Lindgren.

CORRESPONDENCE:
Letter from Mayor Peters - Review of new street plans - Looking
for one fire chief to receive information from Planning Commission
on naming streets in town.
Executive Board - Budget review January 21 , 1992 at 8: 30 P. M. .
Letter from the State of Connecticut pertaining to purchase of
three (3) forestry hose bags.
Letter from Shipman Fire Equipment thanking the Fire Board for
their support over the years and purchasing of Scott Air Packs.
Letter from Planning Commission - Agenda - Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1991.
Christmas card from Atlantic Environmental Corporation.
OFFICERS INPUT:
Chief Haber reported on the insurance coverage on all fire
departments. Chief Haber asked about our old minitors. Chet
reported that he contacted a company in Arkansas. They will pay
$75. 00 for minitor II and $4.5. 00 for minitor I. Chet and Ron will
approach the Mayor and Purchasing Agent regarding these minitors.
Chief Haber reported on the new Scott Air Packs and stated that if any
department in town wishes our old ones, they may take them.
OLD BUSINESS:
Request from Berlin Fire Department to repair one (1 ) Cairns
G62 helmet plus some spare parts for their helmets.
Kensington Fire Department compressor was reported on by Chet
Haber and Jim Simons.
Six (6) year plan and budget were discussed. Will submit budget
as prepared.
Replaced East Berlin Fire Department compressor with new one .
NEW BUSINESS:
Ron reported that equipment from budget is now coming in.
Request from Berlin Fire Department for face shields. Motion
was made by Charlie Scheer and seconded by Mark Lewandowski to
approve the shields. Motion passed unanimously.
Discussion on having ladders tested. Will follow up to have them
done . It was suggested that we get three (3) new bids.

Lewandowski to pay all bills. Motion passed unanimously.
Motion was made by Mark Lewandowski and seconded by Jim
Piccoli to make a transfer of $1 , 000. 00 from Newington training
account to training account for Kensington Fire Department.
Motion passed unanimously.
