1974-11-18 COMMITTEE OF THE AGING
The Committee for the Aging met November 18, 1974 at 8 p.m. at
the Upson House .
Present: Mr. Bolles, Mr. Graham, Mr. Rich, Mrs. Brindly, Mrs.
Mahan.
The minutes of the October meeting read. Errors found and
corrected.
The Upson House was open on the day of the Plymoth trip and the
people were pleased.
Received a letter from the Board of Finance concerning the increase
of transportation costs. Saying to consider the increase approved
they will make the transfer when needeat the end of the year.
Annual report has been sent in.
Concerning the addition to the house: The Commission requested
Mr. Carlson to estimate the large addition if it is in compliance
with the zoning law and if there is money for it . Mr. Carlson
has to look into the situation for specific zoning laws and there
might not be enough room for parking. Mr. Carlson will send his
estimate. The Upson House is not being used to full capacity.
Budget has been planned for Dec. 1976.
Defelice asked if he could provide the transportation, he would
be willing to do it for a 41 less. It was agreed that we are
satisfied with the driver we have.
Trip to the Barbershop quartet at the Bushnell is scheduled for
November 27 and 28. Have to get in touch with the individuals
to get the price. Wednesday and Thursday trip canceled.
Meeting adjurned at 9: 00 o ' clock.
