Commission for the Aging
Minutes of meeting held on Sept. 5, 1972 at 8 :00 at the Town Hall.
PRESENT: Miss t,ahan, Miss McGee, Mr. Rich, Mr. Graham, Mrs. Naples,
Mrs. Agostini, Rev. Davis.

4`irutes of the previou§ meeting were approved as circulated.
OLD BUSINESS
Miss Mahan reported on her summer project in which she contacted churches,
drugstores, and nursing services asking to comply a list of Senior Citizens
who live alone needing a contact. This does not comply only with Senior
Citizens and people with church roles.
Mews McGee reported on the Executive Committee Meeting.
1. A job discription is requested for caretakers.
2. A fire distinquisher was suggested be put in at the Upson House.
Mr. Graham will get in touch with Mr. Rosso regarding this affair.
3. It wa s suggested entrance sigsa : be put in at Farmington Ave. and
exit on New Brita in Road. Mr. Beale will take care of this matter.
4. Mr. Rich requested to put up Se_ior Citizen sign up at utility house,
this was denied.
5. Junior Women will hold me2lbership tea. .it Upson House. This was
approved by the comission.
Mr. Russell will have outside windows washed by town help but
custodian will do inside.
A letter from Mr. Powers regarding parking stalls was read.
NEW BUSINESS
A letter from Mr. Powers rega rding Hot Meals Lunch for Senior Citizens
was read and a letter was sent to him rega rding this matter.
The Board of Selectman will be contacted regarding membership to the
commission.
Mr. Graham reported on the Interface gropp on housing.
Miss Blanche Mahan was elected Chairan of the Oo omission and vi.iss iLTGee
Vice-Chairman.
