The Town Clerk read the call of the meeting as follows. SPECIAL TOWN ~ETING The legal voters of the Town of Berlin are hereby warned and aotified ~hat a special Town Meetin~ of the Town of Berlinwill be held on Monday, July 1st. 1987 a~ the Berlin HiEh School, Patterson Way..Berlin, Connecticut, which Special Meeting ii scheduled at 8.00 P.M. Daylight Saving Time, then and There. 1. To take an~ action which may be legal and proper regarding the acceptance oF the street known as Lawndale Street and more particularly bounded and described as follows: Commencing at a point located at the intersection of the northerly line cT Eenton Street and the westerly line of ~awnda%e Street; thence running Southerly alon~ the Westerly iine of Lawndale Street 618 feet more or less ~o the North- erly line of Robbins Road; thence running Easterly along the Northerly line of Robbins Road 50 feet more or less to a pointlocated at the intersection of the northerly line of Robbins Road and the easterly line of Lawndale Street; thence running northerly alon~ the easterly line of Lawndale Street 817 feet more or less To a point, thence manning westerly across Lawndale Street 50 feet more or less to ~he point of beginning It being the intention to include all of Lawndale Street not yet accepted by the Town of Berlin. Graham explaln~d the inadvisability to acceptance.t9 a Street in the general condition of Lawndale Street as'it ex~s=z at the present t~me and the lack of money in the present budget to construct a road in keeplng wlth the present specifications. Daylight Saving ~lme~ at the Berlin High School,Patterson Way,Berlin, Connecticut,then and there: 1. To act upon the extension of the present voting hours at the annual Town Election,which is to be held. on October 7,1~57. 2. Eanal Drive was oiled. c. fork was progressing well on the Burnham St. Bridge d. ~oXeon Bros, has co~p~ the blasting on Eensington Road. Rock frc~ this operation was draped at the ~t_~ Road ~ridge site. e. Kenwood St. would be oiled upon ~ion of the Burnham St, Bridge. I~ma VII Mr. ~ham reported that he had rooeived a personal %elephcne call from a Mr. ~--~the International Harvester Co. of Rochester ~Y. and was assured delivery of a pilot ~ d~np truck dnring the f~rst ~eek of Jul~ which is guaranteed per Mr. Graham, The Selectmen attended a spee~a~ town meeting $2ds evenizg to hear and act on the ptance of Laensdale St. Mr. Grabem gave a history of this street to the ~resen% da~.
