The regular meeting of the Conservation Commission was called to
order at 6: 36 p.m. by Chairman Richard Schmidt.
PRESENT - Chairman Richard Schmidt, Vice Chairman Bill Welch,
Commission members Michele Spacek, Michael DeLorenzo,
Catherine Jortner, Richard Glidden (our newest member who
has been sworn in) and Christina Berger. Also present
Joseph Roberts - an alternate member.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Page 2 - 6th paragraph should read. .Richard Schmidt reported
that he spoke to Sherwood Tool and stated that he will
meet with them.
Richard Glidden made a motion to approve minutes of February 13 ,
1996 with the corrections noted. Seconded by Bill Welch. All in
favor.

OLD BUSINESS
A. Use of Town Lands
Nothing new to report.
B. Paper Goods Property_
Chairman Schmidt stated that he met with Sherwood Tool, M.
Seeyle, B. Welch, Mayor Ragazzi and B. Miller to discuss the
dam. Mayor Ragazzi was in favor of acquiring Paper Goods.
Chairman Schmidt will attend the Town Council meeting next
week to further discuss this matter.
Chairman Schmidt stated that he could not find certificates
for recognizing the LCV' s. Vice Chairman Welch will follow up
on this matter.
C. Greenway Acquisitions and Development
Vice Chairman Welch reported that the City of New Britain owns
the property from Hart' s Pond to High Road. Property was
*printed on recycled paper
assessed at $74 , 000 which has been waived.
Vice Chairman Welch will obtain an application for the funding
of Paper Goods.
Chairman Schmidt stated that he spoke with Chairman Michael
Balinskas of the Inland Wetlands Commission and a meeting will
occur between both commissions in the very near future.

ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Glidden made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8 : 22
p.m. Seconded by Vice Chairman Welch. All in favor.
