The regular meeting of the Berlin Conservation Commission was
called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Bill Welch, Vice-Chairman.
PRESENT - K. Albert-Gagliardi; D. Howe; J. Ritter; M. Spacek; B.
Welch; ABSENT - P. Watson, R. Schmidt
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Moved by Karen Albert-Gagliardi and Seconded by Jack Ritter to
approve the July 13 , 1993 minutes as submitted.
All in Favor - Motion Carried.
AUDIENCE OF CITIZENS
There was no participation at this time.
OLD BUSINESS
Natural Resource Inventory_
Jack Ritter reported that Map 9 had been found. There was nothing
else to report at this time.
Ragged Mountain
Public Works would be placing more rocks in the area. The chain
was cut and replaced by Dick Schmidt.
Lamentation Mountain
There is nothing new to report at this time.
Recycling
Michele Spacek had nothing new to report at this time.
Sportsman Pond - Woodlawn Road/Wilbur Cross Highway_
There is nothing new to report at this time.

Stan Chem Fish Ladder
Mr. Welch has not yet had an opportunity to contact Mayor Peters on
this issue.
Use of Town Lands
Dick Schmidt mentioned to Bill Welch that he would like a special
meeting scheduled on this issue the end of September or beginning
of October.
The Commission determined to have a special meeting on their
regular meeting night of October 12 , 1993 . The regular meeting
would be at 6: 30 p.m. followed by a special meeting at 7 p.m.
The Commission was not sure who Dick Schmidt would like to invite
to the special meeting. Several members of the Commission were
under the impression work still needed to be done on this issue
before a presentation was to be made
Sandy DeVivo will contact Dick Schmidt to see who will be invited
to the special meeting and where it will be held.
Paper Goods Property
The Mayor replied to the Commission stating he has talked to the
Town Planner and the Town Attorney. It was suggested the
Commission send the sample letter to see if the company may be
interested in donating the pond to the Town of Berlin:
