Item I Mr. ~raham read a letter frc~ the Elemmtary School Building Ce~nittee requesting
t-~e Board of Selectmen have the debris lef~ by the McKeon Bros at the Percival School
Mr. ~rahma to notify the McXeen Bros. by letter to have this debris remove&
Item II_ Mr. ~raham reported that Max~in Kelly, tree expert, has been r~aoving trees
Mr. ~raha~ moved, N~. Cistare seconded, ~athoriz[ ng the First Select,an to hire
a b~domer to remove a tree stump in front of the hc~e of Mr. Perry ~aart.

Item III Mr. Grahm read a letter frcm the Board of F~ucatio~ notifying that they
~ested the Boar~ of Finance to meet Jointly with them regarding the restoration
of the ~47~000~ a~d if approved, request the Board of Selectae~ te call a special Tome
Meeting to allow the voters of the town te decide this issue.

Education that the Beard of Selectmen will call tach a town meeting subject to the
approval of the Beard of Finance.

Item IV Mr. Graham moved, Mr. Cistare seconded +_.hat the matter of the Makris Diner
leaving an abandoned building on their property whm they relocated their diner, be
~eferred to the town ccausel for appropriate action. Further that the Board of Selectmen
proceed with whatever action is necessary to remove this nuisance and safety ha~ar~

Item V Mr. Gr_~h_~_._ moved, Mr. Cistare secondec~ that the Bishop Curve stem water
drainage problem be referred to the Tow~ ~xgineer for s~d7 and rqxn~b,

ItemVI M~. ~rahem moved, Mr. Cistare seconded that the Pure Ice & Oil Co. ~e awarded
the contract for i~rnishing the Town of Berlin with rock salt for the 1956-57 winter.
Motion carried.
It~n VII Mr. Graham read a letter fro~ Mr. Hellis Xincaid, informing that the G.R.
~ Co. of Meriden was awarded the contract for applying the roof to the municipal
garage for a sum of $~?~8.00 work to start iaenediately.

Joint~y~ith the Board of Selec~men this evening. Mr. ~ah~n e~pl~4~ed the i~portance
of s~ch a study and recommended ?.h~_t the c~mmit%ee be expanded t.o include a me~ber frem
the Board of Edacation and possibly a police commissioner or the ~ief.
