The Design Review Committee met on Tuesday, February 1, 1977 at
the Town Hall. Present were Marilyn Brierley, Hollis Kincaid,
Emil Carlson, Joseph Stiano, Dorothy DeGiorgi, Philip Blakesly,
Sally Macfarlane and Joseph Szczepanik, newly appointed member.
The Committee met with Mr. Robert H. Merrill to review plans for
a sign for Western Auto, 52 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington.
Mr. Louis P. Bower, owner and Mr. Irving W. Rutherford, Architect
appeared before the Committee for a review of a proposed addition
to Margaret 's Rest Home, 316 Berlin Street, East Berlin.
Mr. Allan Borghesi and Mr. Bruce Bannerman, Manager of Steel
Buildings, Borghesi Bldg. & Eng . Co. , Inc. presented plans for
a new building to be constructed for Polymer Machinery Corp. ,
60 Woodlawn Road, Berlin.
The Committee discussed briefly the Sage Park Complex.
A preliminary review of the plans for the Elderly Housing resulted
in a memo being drafted to Mr. Albert G. Nieman, Chairman of the
Housing Authority.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, February 15, 1977 at 7: 30 p.m.
in the Town Hall, Room 9.
