1953/09/21 A Special Town Meeting was held in the Town Hall, Uonday evening, Sept. 21, 1985. The meeting was called to order by Selectman Hall. ~r. Henry McKeon was elected Noderator. The Clerk read the Call for the meeting as follows. NOTICE OF9PECIAL TOWN N]~ETING. The legal voters of the Town of Berlin .are hereby warned and notified that a special town meeting w~ll be,held in the Town Hall in the Town of Berlin, on Monday evening~ Sept. 21, 1958 at 8 o'clock P. M. E.D.S.T. for the follow~n~ purp~ 1. To authorize the Selectmen to borrow a sum of money not in excess of Four ~undred and fifty Thousand ($ 480,000.00) Dollars~ for the payment of current expenses and outstanding obligatmons of the Town in anticipation of taxes to be collected *or ~he fiscal year 1953 - 198~, and to sign execute and deliver the prbmissory note or notes, or other obligations of the Town, ~herefor; and also to renew note or notes for existinm ones or other obli~_ations of the Town of Berlin now outstanding on terms to be ~etermined by the Selectmen. 2. Audette Selectmen of the Town of Berlin The following reso~tion was then presented' RESOLVED: That the Selectmen of the Town of Berlin be and they are hereby authorized to borrow a sum or sums of money not to exceed Four Hundred and fifty Thousand ($ 480,000.00) Dollars, in the name of the Town of Berlin, for the payment of current expenses and outstanding obligations of the Town, in anticipation of taxes to be collected for the fiscal year 195S - 1954, and to sign, execute and deliver promissory note or notes or other obligations of the Town therefor; and also to renew note or notes for existing ones or other obligations of the Town therefor; and also to renew note or notes for existing ones or other obligations of the Town of Berlin, now outstanding on terms to be determined by the Selectmen."
