TOWN OF BERLIN
ZONING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING

The c-nairman, Mr. B. Cabelus, called the meeting to order
at 8:U5 P.M. and asked the Secretary to read tne call of the
meeting.
To hear and act on the request of the J. J. Miller Const.
Co, for a change of zone from Residence "B" to Business on certain
parcels of land located in the Town of Berlin as set fortn in the
call of tne meeting.
Chairman-
Is there anyone present wno wishes to speak in favor of
this cnange?
Mr. Miller-
I am the president of the J. J. Miller Construction Co.
Some months ago I had a nearing on tnis issue and at
the time there were cnanges in tale Zoning Committee and a decision
was never reacned.
4LwThe main reason I want this changed is so tnat I may
put un a warehouse in which to keep pieces of pipe, chain etc.
I try to keep an orderly place and I feel tnat the Commission snould
grant tnis change .
I plan to cut tne hill down and use the material to cover
the brook. I had Mr. Graham and Mr. Bacon down to look over and
plot the brook. By piping tne brook with 18" pipe and then covering
with gravel, it will be eliminating an eye-sore .
I said before tnat I would leave a buffer zone in wnicn
I will plant trees in front of Mr. Frost 1 s home, and as yet I have
not done tnis, but will do so.
Chairman •
-
Is there anyone wno wishes to speak against this change?
There was no opposition.
Mr. Cabelus-
Mr. Miller are you now parking equipment beyond the 1501
already zoned for business?
Mr. Miller- I will be honest with you, I am. If you nave noticed
I have paved in front and on the side of my property, and while the
p-:ving was being done I did move my macuinery to beyond this point.
Chairman- If tnere is no one else wishing to speak on this matter
the Commission will reserve decision.
