Maier Sand & Gravel, Southington Road Dear Chairman Suranna: The Berlin Planning Commission at its Special Meeting of January 7, 1992 voted to recommend approval of the application of T. Maier Sand & Gravel to excavate 10,000 cubic yards from Lot 5, Block 15 Southington Road. This recommendation includes the following conditions: 1 Grades to be followed per map dated lanuary 7, 1992 entitled "Grading Plan for Gravel Excavation, Property of Agnes T. Maier, known as Lot 5, Block 15 Southington Road. Prepared by MBA Engineering, Inc." 2. Adherence to specific requirements of Section 11.22 to 11.26 inclusive of Berlin Zoning Regulations andany other applicable zoning requirements. 3. Retainage of a $7,500 bond. 4. Soil erosion and sediment control m.easures to be maintained as approved by the Town Engineer. 5. Hours of operation to be limited to between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. 6. Traffic control be maintained as approved by the Berlin Police Department. 7. Truck bodies to be covered. 8. All slopes are to kept to 2:1 during and after operation. 9. All refueling of vehicles to take place in front of the garage areas as shown on the plan. 10. Construction of the berm for siltation control no later than March 31, 1992. 11. Removal of all unregistered motor vehicles, empty fuel tanks, and construction equipment and materials not directly connected with this excavation operation.
