BERLIN PLANNING COMMISSION
The special meeting of the Berlin Planning CommLssion was called to order
~t 5:O5 P.M. on May 2, 1988 by chairman Nuncio Rosso. Those present
Dorothy Woznis; Philip Bourgeois; George Southworch; Clndy W~lcox; Gale
Porter, alternate; Betty Mlldrum, alternate; and Claire Lateen, alternate.
Others present were Mayor Peters; Charlie Karno, Economic Development
Director; Don Ward, Economic Development Commission chairman; members of
MVP Associates; and Attorney Jeffrey Cug~o, representing MVP Associates.
Mayor Peters spoke ahoot the need in Berlin for theproposed type of
housing and he [eels it has great potential, lie has spoken to may
residents who have expressed their desire for this type of elderly
housing in Berlin.
After reviewing the porposed Planned Elderly Development regulations,
a motion was made by Mr. Southworth, seconded by Mr. Bourgeois and voted
unanimously to recommend to the Zoning Co~nmission approval o[ the
proposed regulations with the attached revisions.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 P.M.

The consensus of the Commission was that the title of the
development be named Planned Adult Community (PAC) and should be
referred to as such throughout the docume,~t.
